Troubleshooting

You can try these tips to find fault with the sound coming from your speaker. If you perform these self-diagnostics before calling us, the telephone call will only take a minute and we can properly diagnose the problem and possibly save you the inconvenience of returning it to us.

  1. Make sure the power supply is fully plugged into a power receptacle and into the proper location on the speaker.

  2. Make sure the source (CD, DVD, PC, microphone, etc.) connections are fully plugged in according to the drawings and spec sheets for your unit which can be found in the Product Literature section.

  3. If the sound system does not work on a computer or laptop make sure the computer volume control is turned “up” at least 50 %.

  4. Make sure your CD or MP3 files are playing by listening to them first on your computer speakers before attaching the Cetacea speakers.

  5. If you hear sound with one device but not another, the device without sound is faulty, not the speaker. If the PC is faulty, the headphone or line out jack is not set-up correctly through the computer software. Check your computer documentation to solve this problem.

  6. If sound does not come out of the alternate device, call us for a final check and obtain an RMA number if necessary.

  7. Do not attempt to disassemble Cetacea products. This will invalidate your warranty.
