The Clear Voice System 96 is a 96-Channel UHF wireless microphone system used primarily for sound-field management in classrooms. Its 96 selectable channels allow many transmitters to be used in close proximity to each other, a situation found often in school or office buildings. Even if used in the same room, up to 24 transmitters can be used at one time without interference.
The system features a professional quality all aluminum case transmitter and receiver with LCD readouts for instant confirmation of channel, frequency, and battery status. Both transmitter and receiver are able to use either rechargeable or standard alkaline batteries and the system includes a convenient intelligent charging stand.
The CVS96 is easy to use and contains many extended functions most microphone systems do not have. The transmitter can be used with any standard lapel, headset or collar style microphone. It also has an optional line level input jack that can be used for its broadcast mode (see below). The transmitter also contains a level control for volume adjustment. The body pack receiver has both microphone and line level output jacks. This makes it easy to connect to standard mic level inputs or to external audio systems that require line level inputs. The receiver also has a rotary volume control so the listener can fine tune the volume or mute the sound as needed.
In addition to the microphone application the CVS96 supports tour guiding, assisted listening and broadcasting. Tour guiding is a feature that is used to talk to an individual or a group by use of a dedicated receiver worn by the listener and a private ear piece. This is especially useful if the listeners are far away from the presenter, the ambient noise levels are high making it difficult to hear, or even if the presenter and listener desire to talk quietly so that others are undisturbed. It is similar to learning situations when an individual or group may have hearing difficulties. This situation is often called assisted listening. The fourth application is broadcasting. The CVS96 can be used to broadcast stereo music to a remote speakers or other audio equipment including recording devices.
The Clear Voice system is "tuned" to the Cetacea Sound Ensemble portable speaker and also the classroom Astronaut series of speakers. This provides maximum speech recognition by listeners whether they are audiences or students.
