orbiter ergonomics

The Orbiter's simple, ergonomic design is based on valuable feedback from teacher focus groups, all of which voiced a common frustration with current overly-complicated and uncomfortable microphone designs. Engineered from the ground up for comfortable all-day teaching, the Orbiter's lightweight design, lifetime non-replaceable battery, and simple ease-of-use, allow you to forget it is even there.

Intuitive 2-Button Control

Teaching is hard enough without using a microphone. Fortunately, the Orbiter’s intuitive controls become second nature.
Master Control (ON / OFF / MUTE)
The transmitter master control is multi-functional and located on the backside of the transmitter. Simply press with your thumb to cycle between ON and MUTE. Hold and press to turn OFF.

Volume Control
This rocker-style button controls the volume level when pressed. The transmitter volume will remain at its last setting when cycled between MUTE, UNMUTE, and OFF.

Quick Release Lanyard

Doeskin Pads

The lanyard design includes quick releaseclips for fast and hassle-free removal. There is no need to pull the lanyard over your head. 2 mm thick doeskin pads are soft, adding comfort to the Orbiter's main contact points.

Lifetime Non-Replaceable Battery

Never replace a battery—the Orbiter charges like a cell phone. 8 hours of voice time and 22 hours of standby time.
